Terms of use (EULA)
These terms are an agreement between you and NDS Consulting Inc., the owner and operator of CanTaxAi (Kitchener, Ontario). Version 2026-08-25. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms; signed-in users are asked to confirm acceptance in the app, and that acceptance is recorded.
1. Who may use it
You must be authorized to act for the taxpayer or practice whose data you enter. CanTaxAi Pros are responsible for the access they grant to staff and clients inside their workspace. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and any multi-factor method secure.
2. Not tax advice
CanTaxAi is preparation and organization software. Content, walkthroughs, AI suggestions and extracted slip data are assistive aids only — they are not professional tax, legal or accounting advice, and they do not replace review by a qualified professional. Filing positions and final returns remain the responsibility of the filer and their CanTaxAi Pro.
3. Acceptable use
Do not upload data you have no right to handle, attempt to access another workspace, probe or disrupt the service, or use the platform to file fraudulent returns. We may suspend accounts that breach these rules, and suspected fraud may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NDS Consulting Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost refunds, penalties or interest arising from use of the service, reliance on AI-extracted data without review, or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
5. Changes and availability
Tax rules, forms and CRA/Revenu Québec systems change; we update the software on a commercially reasonable basis but do not warrant uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. We may update these terms with notice in the app — continued use after a new version is presented constitutes acceptance.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Courts sitting in Kitchener–Waterloo, Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law gives you a mandatory local forum.
